Minors Division (Ages 7–9)
The Minors Division is the next step for young players who are ready to build on their foundational skills and experience more competitive play. This division features a balance of pitching machine and kid pitch throughout the season, giving athletes the chance to adjust to live pitching while still benefiting from the consistency of the machine.
Players will continue to strengthen their hitting, fielding, throwing, and base running skills while learning more advanced aspects of the game such as positioning, teamwork, and game strategy. Coaches emphasize instruction and encouragement, ensuring that every child grows in confidence and ability.
Families can expect a mix of practices and games each week, including Saturdays. This schedule provides regular opportunities for skill development while keeping the season fun and manageable for busy families.
The Minors Division blends learning with competition, preparing players for higher levels of play while keeping the focus on participation, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game.
All players in Minors, AAA, and Majors divisions must attend one evaluation session at Faith Christian Academy. Evaluations are not tryouts. They help us create well-balanced teams so every player can learn, grow, and enjoy the game. The top 9-year-olds may move to AAA based on evaluation results.
