Quickball @ Pennridge Little League

Pennridge Little League offers a fast paced introduction to baseball through our Quickball program.  Quickball is a high-speed, low-pressure way to get young players ready to play baseball!  This program is available for kids ages 4 and 5 years old.  The goal of Quickball is get kids active in a safe environment so that they can enjoy baseball from the start.  The emphasis of the program is to get more movement for the age group and introduce skills that will help them be successful as they move up through the ranks.

How is Quickball Different?
In Quickball the kids will use a plastic bat and foam balls to work on their skills.  There is no hitting from a tee in Quickball.  Coaches will soft-toss the ball to the kids when batting.  

How Does the Game Work?
The design of the game is to have 50% skill development and 50% gameplay. There are four stations that kids will rotate through and those stations will work on batting, fielding, pitching, and catching.  Each week the program moves progressively to work on developing their skillsets.

Who Can Play?
Quickball is open for boys and girls ages 4 and 5 years old.

How Long is the Season?
The season is designed to go 9 weeks.  The USA Quickball leaders give Pennridge Little League structured game plans for each week.

What Equipment Does My Child Need?
Pennridge Little League will provide the kids with the equipment needed. They will receive a bat and ball for them to keep. All they need to bring to practices and games will be proper shoes, water/drink, and a positive attitude!
